 431. Mr. Durkan Information on Bernard Durkan Zoom on Bernard Durkan  asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Information on Éamon Ó Cuív Zoom on Éamon Ó Cuív  the extent to which he has studied the recently announced spatial strategy and its impact on his Department's work; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Éamon Ó Cuív): Information on Éamon Ó Cuív Zoom on Éamon Ó Cuív The national spatial strategy, published last week, will have implications for the work of all Departments and State agencies, both national and local. In my statement welcoming its publication, I said the strategy sets down clear markers for the way ahead in rural development. The strategy addresses many of my concerns in relation to such issues as rural housing and services and cultural identity.
