[24338/02]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell): Information on Michael McDowell Zoom on Michael McDowell I would like to inform the Deputy that the Office of Public Works is responsible for procuring and disposing of State property. However, as I recently explained to the House, it is my intention that Shanganagh Castle, which operates an open detention centre for juveniles, should be sold and the proceeds re-invested in the Prisons Service. The centre is located in Shankill, County Dublin, and stands on grounds of 24 acres.
