 305. Mr. Deasy Information on John Deasy Zoom on John Deasy  asked the Minister for Health and Children Information on Micheál Martin Zoom on Micheál Martin  if provision has been made in the 2003 Estimates for the development of new general practitioners out of hours co-operatives; the portion of this which will be made to the South-Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): Information on Micheál Martin Zoom on Micheál Martin The abridged Estimates volume for 2003 includes provision for an increase in spending on general practitioner out of hours co-operatives. I am not yet in a position to indicate how the available funding will be allocated as I am currently examining submissions received in this regard from health boards, including the South-Eastern Health Board.
