283. Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the decisions which were made regarding forestry planting programmes following his meeting with representatives of the forestry sector; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24822/02]
Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources (Mr. D. Ahern): I propose to take Questions Nos. 282 and 283 together.
I am aware of the concern of the forestry sector in relation to available funding for next year's afforestation programme. Decisions in relation to the forestry schemes will be finalised in the coming weeks.
