 218. Mr. Howlin Information on Brendan Howlin Zoom on Brendan Howlin  asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform Information on John O'Donoghue Zoom on John O'Donoghue  the position in relation to a petition submitted to him on 12 February 2001 in respect of a fine under the Litter Pollution Act, 1997, imposed on a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): Information on John O'Donoghue Zoom on John O'Donoghue On 12 February 2001 an application to open a petition was received from the person to whom the Deputy refers. The application was unsuccessful and a reply to that effect issued to the person concerned on 2 May 2001. A petition was not opened in the matter.
