Mr. Timmins   asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his Department operates term time; the number of persons who applied for this in 2000, 2001 and 2002; the number of persons who were accepted and availed themselves of the scheme; if persons were refused; if so, the reason therefor; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Cowen): Term time came into effect in the Department of Foreign Affairs in January, 2001. Two officers availed of the scheme last year and ten applications have been received in respect of summer, 2002. All applications received have been granted.
