 210. Mr. Dempsey Information on Noel Dempsey Zoom on Noel Dempsey  asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry Information on Ivan Yates Zoom on Ivan Yates  when he intends to pay a grant under the control of farmyard pollution scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the grant was approved in 1995, the work was completed in August 1996 and the person concerned has to carry the cost of repayments on money borrowed to finance the work. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. Yates): Information on Ivan Yates Zoom on Ivan Yates An application by the person in question under the control of farm pollution scheme was approved last year on the basis that payment [1576] would be made in 1997, subject to the approved works being completed in accordance with my Department's specification.

 211. Mr. Dempsey Information on Noel Dempsey Zoom on Noel Dempsey  asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry Information on Ivan Yates Zoom on Ivan Yates  the number of persons in each county who have indicated they have completed works approved by his Department under the control of farmyard pollution scheme; and the amount of money outstanding to farmers in each county on foot of these completions. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. Yates): Information on Ivan Yates Zoom on Ivan Yates I have set out on the table below the number of claims on hand on a county basis which are due for payment in 1997.

All other claims certified for payment up to 27 September 1996 have been paid.
