 141. Mr. E. Byrne Information on Eric J. Byrne Zoom on Eric J. Byrne  asked the Minister for Education Information on Niamh Bhreathnach Zoom on Niamh Bhreathnach  her views regarding the proposals to build a permanent gaelscoil at the designated site on the corner of Tymon Park and Greenhills Road, Dublin 12; her views on the current debate between South Dublin County Council in relation to the appropriate site to build the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): Information on Niamh Bhreathnach Zoom on Niamh Bhreathnach The site owned by the Department at Tymon Park, Tallaght, [1543] Dublin 24 has been designated as a suitable location for Coláiste de hÍde. I understand the site is at present being used by the South Dublin County Council as an amenity area.

The Department and the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee are negotiating with the county council with a view to ensuring that permanent accommodation is provided for the school as quickly as possible.
