Ahearn Information on Theresa Ahearn Zoom on Theresa Ahearn  asked the Minister for Finance Information on Ruairí Quinn Zoom on Ruairí Quinn  the current position regarding the investigation into the cause of flooding of the River Suir in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Coveney): Information on Hugh Coveney Zoom on Hugh Coveney The Commissioners of Public Works have commissioned a firm of consultants to investigate and outline options for dealing with the flooding in the vicinities of Clonmel and Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary and to recommend for approval a flood relief scheme(s) for these towns. The consultants preliminary report is expected early next year.
