The task force did not compile figures for regions other than the Border region and figures are not available on a county basis.
However, based on figures supplied by lead Departments for operational programmes to the Department of Finance, the percentage of estimated CSF expenditure for the Border region is as follows: 1994, 13 per cent; 1995, 14 per cent; 1996, 14 per cent.
The task force report on funding arrangements in the Border region, which has been circulated to Members [1504] of the Oireachtas, was a once off exercise. Ongoing monitoring of CSF expenditure by region is a matter for the Minister for Finance.
