[1877]The Taoiseach: Information on John Bruton Zoom on John Bruton I propose to take Questions Nos. 54 to 57, inclusive together.

The results of the 1995 Labour Force Survey, which is the most widely recognised measure of employment and unemployment, indicate that there were 69,800 people unemployed in Dublin in [1878] April 1995, 71,300 in April 1994, 76,700 in April 1993 and 74,600 in April 1992. Details for other countries are not available from the Labour Force Survey.

However, information from the live register in respect of each local office in Dublin and in respect of Counties Kildare, Wicklow and Louth is set out in the following two tables:
