94. Mr. Callely   asked the Minister for Education the studies, if any, that have been carried out to assess the impact of children been driven to school rather than walking or cycling; if she has received submissions regarding this matter; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6784/96]
Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): I am not aware of any studies having been carried out to assess the impact of children being chauffered to school rather than walking or cycling, nor have I received any submissions on the matter.
I regard this issue as one of parental choice, and I do not propose to issue any statement on the matter.
