Mr. Gregory   asked the Minister for the Environment the funding, if any, that is available to local authorities within their budget for major road improvement schemes to provide double glazing for roadside homes where a significant increase in traffic volumes with increased noise and air pollution levels will result. [4661/96]
Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): The provision of double glazed windows in roadside homes is not accepted as a charge against State grants for road improvement schemes.
