 65. Mr. D. Ahern Information on Dermot Ahern Zoom on Dermot Ahern  asked the Minister for the Environment Information on Brendan Howlin Zoom on Brendan Howlin  the amounts paid out by his Department towards swimming pool facilities in each of the years from 1990 to 1995; the proposals, if any, he has for new swimming pools; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): Information on Brendan Howlin Zoom on Brendan Howlin The expenditure outturn for the years 1990 to 1994 for the swimming pool programme is set out in the reply to Question No. 103 of 21 November 1995. Expenditure in 1995 was £2 million.

There are ten proposals for new swimming pools at various stages of planning at the following locations: Bailieborough, Ballaghaderreen, Bray, Drumtariffe, Dundalk, Ennis, Enniscorthy, Killarney, Tullamore and Wicklow town.
