48. Mr. Callely   asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to recent newspaper reports (details supplied) of sweetheart deals in relation to the application of the milk quota regulations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4631/96]
Minister for Finance (Mr. Quinn): I am aware of recent newspaper reports of sweetheart deals in relation to the application of the milk quota regulations. The Revenue Commissioners has no function in relation to EU milk quota regulations and, because of its confidentiality obligations, is precluded from disclosing any information regarding its dealings with individual taxpayers.
