Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Spring): Information on Dick Spring Zoom on Dick Spring Over the past 15 months one study was commissioned by the office of the Tánaiste as background to the Task Force on Long Term Unemployment which was established by Government and chaired by my office. Since its establishment in 1993 the National Economic and Social Forum has published nine reports and two opinions on a wide range of topics. I understand that a report on equality issues will be issued next week.

In the same period a total of seven reports was commissioned or undertaken by the Irish Aid Advisory Committee relating to the Government's policy on development assistance. No such studies have been commissioned by the refugee agency or APSO in this period.

During the period in question the Anglo-Irish Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs commissioned one study, on a matter related to the development of the peace process.
