Mr. Fahey:   asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the number of sheep farmers from the Comeragh mountains area who applied for interest-free loans for the purpose of replacing sheep lost in the snow of last spring; and the number of such loans granted.

Mr. Haughey:   Up to 14th October 16 sheep farmers have applied for these loans and nine loans have already been granted.
