Mr. Briscoe: Information on Ben Briscoe Zoom on Ben Briscoe asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the special hardship arising for physically handicapped drivers when they are unable to secure convenient parking for their vehicles in Dublin and Dún Laoghaire; and whether he will consult with the appropriate authorities with a view to having special provision made to ease the physical burden for these people.

Mr. Blaney: Information on Neil T.C. Blaney Zoom on Neil T.C. Blaney I am aware that some physically handicapped drivers experience difficulties in finding convenient parking places. I understand that, in general, the more serious cases are known to the Garda and are afforded every possible facility. I will, however, have the question drawn to the attention of the Commissioner for further consideration.
