Mr. Molloy: Information on Robert Molloy Zoom on Robert Molloy asked the Minister for Justice if he will provide an extra Garda patrol car for Salthill, Galway during the Months of July and August.

Minister for Justice (Mr. B. Lenihan): Information on Patrick J. Lenihan Zoom on Patrick J. Lenihan I have been assured by the Commissioner that the arrangements for policing Salthill during the summer months are adequate.

The strength of the force in Salthill is raised from seven to 14 during the summer months. Apart from a motor cycle which is permanently allocated to Salthill, the three official cars and the three motor cycles in Galway city, of which Salthill is a suburb, are available for duty in Salthill as required.

Mr. B. Lenihan: Information on Patrick J. Lenihan Zoom on Patrick J. Lenihan I shall look into it further. Some people in Salthill might not want the extra patrol car.
