Mr. Spring: Information on Daniel Spring Zoom on Daniel Spring asked the Minister for Local Government what is the present position regarding the proposal by Kerry County Council to provide a new water supply at Tarbert, County Kerry; and if in view of the fact that this supply is urgently needed for the new generating station there, he will take steps to expedite the provision of the supply.

Mr. Blaney: Information on Neil T.C. Blaney Zoom on Neil T.C. Blaney A preliminary report on the North East Kerry Regional Water Supply Scheme, phase 1 of which is designed to provide a supply of water for the new ESB station at Tarbert, County Kerry, is at present under examination in my Department.

A proposal for the laying of a new watermain to provide a supply of water for constructional purposes at the generating station, together with a loan application to finance this work is also under consideration.
