Mr. O'Leary: asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will ensure that all steps are taken to recommence talks between the parties concerned in the Dublin port stoppage; and if he will consider issuing an appeal to both parties to come together.

Dr. Hillery: Information on Patrick John Hillery Zoom on Patrick John Hillery The parties to this dispute are aware that the Conciliation Service of the Labour Court is available to them and a Conciliation Officer of the Court is, in fact, in touch with the parties at present.

Mr. O'Leary: A bit of advice from the Minister to the manager of the Port and Docks Board to stop shadow-boxing might save us a great deal of trouble.
