Mr. Barry: Information on Richard Barry Zoom on Richard Barry asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the long delays experienced with incoming calls at Fermoy telephone exchange, County Cork; and if so, if he will have the matter attended to.

Minister for Health (Mr. O'Malley) (for the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs): Information on Donogh O'Malley Zoom on Donogh O'Malley The answer to both parts of the question is “yes.”

Mr. Dillon: Information on James Matthew Dillon Zoom on James Matthew Dillon Would the Minister be good enough to communicate to his colleague, the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, the fact that it is now [2437] impossible to get anybody to answer 10 if one seeks a trunk call in the city of Dublin?

Mr. O'Malley: This question relates to Fermoy, but I shall convey the views of the Deputy.

Mr. Haughey: Information on Charles J. Haughey Zoom on Charles J. Haughey The situation has improved a lot in Dublin.

Mr. Barry: Information on Richard Barry Zoom on Richard Barry If the Minister says the answer to both parts is “yes,” would the answer to the second part be “Yes, immediately”?

Mr. O'Malley: Yes, within six months.
