126. Mr. D. Ahern   asked the Minister for the Environment the amounts made available to local authorities in respect of specific swimming pools for either refurbishment or construction in each of the years 1994 and 1995; whether he has allocated any moneys under the 1996 allocation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): Details of funding made available to local authorities in 1994 and 1995 for the construction of refurbishment of swimming pools are published in the Appropriation Accounts for these years.
Information in relation to 1996 is set out in the following table. The balance of the 1996 provision will be fully expended on projects under construction or fully approved and on which work is expected to commence later this year.
