142. Mr. Dempsey   asked the Minister for Education whether schools not on the agreed list of Estimates for the current year for capital expenditure will be added to that list in the event that they reach the stage where projects are ready to proceed. [9146/96]
Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): At the beginning of each year the capital programme for the year is determined having regard to the financial provision made available, the stage which various capital projects [165] have reached and the priority attaching to these projects.
The programme is subject to review throughout the year and as planning work is completed projects are released to construction on a phased basis depending on the funds available.
