Mr. Treacy: Information on Seán Treacy Zoom on Seán Treacy asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the present dilapidated state of the old national school at Marlfield, Clonmel, County Tipperary; and if he has any plans for the repair or reconstruction of the building, or for the provision of a new school.

Mr. Colley: Information on George Colley Zoom on George Colley As Marlfield national school is a two-teacher school, within two miles of Clonmel, arrangements are in hands for the pupils to be brought to larger schools in Clonmel, by means of a State-aided transport service. My Department is doing everything possible to have these arrangements put into effect without delay.

[225]Mr. Colley: Information on George Colley Zoom on George Colley I am afraid I cannot tell the Deputy, except that as far as I am concerned it could take place within a week, but there are certain other difficulties to be overcome at the moment. My Department is anxious to do it as quickly as possible.
