24.
Mr. Donnellan: asked the Minister for Local Government what is the position regarding the proposed new swimming pool for Tuam, County Galway.
Mr. Blaney: Proposals for a swimming pool at Tuam are being examined in my Department.
Mr. Donnellan: In how many years time will Tuam have its swimming pool?
Mr. Blaney: Look at the history of [199] this project. It was first thought of in 1944, when there was a war on. It was put in in 1954, when there was a Coalition Government——
Mr. Donnellan: And in 1965 there is a Fianna Fáil Government.
Mr. Blaney: It came back in its true form about a year ago, and since then headway is being made. Between now and its completion will not be anything like the years that have elapsed since its proposal.
