Mr. Donnellan: Information on John F. Donnellan Zoom on John F. Donnellan asked the Minister for Local Government what is the position regarding the proposed new swimming pool for Tuam, County Galway.

Mr. Blaney: Information on Neil T.C. Blaney Zoom on Neil T.C. Blaney Proposals for a swimming pool at Tuam are being examined in my Department.

Mr. Donnellan: Information on John F. Donnellan Zoom on John F. Donnellan In how many years time will Tuam have its swimming pool?

Mr. Blaney: Information on Neil T.C. Blaney Zoom on Neil T.C. Blaney Look at the history of [199] this project. It was first thought of in 1944, when there was a war on. It was put in in 1954, when there was a Coalition Government——

Mr. Donnellan: Information on John F. Donnellan Zoom on John F. Donnellan And in 1965 there is a Fianna Fáil Government.

Mr. Blaney: Information on Neil T.C. Blaney Zoom on Neil T.C. Blaney It came back in its true form about a year ago, and since then headway is being made. Between now and its completion will not be anything like the years that have elapsed since its proposal.
